IT’S DOWN TO THE WIRE............WHO WILL BE THE 2008 FUNNY CAR CHAMP?

As we head into the final weekend of racing for the 2008 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, there will be only one racecar driver at the end of it that will be able to claim the title of “2008 NHRA Funny Car Champion”.  Currently still in the hunt are Cruz Pedregon, Tim Wilkerson, Robert Hight, Tony Pedregon and Jack Beckman.  Any stumbles or lost points will obviously element one-by-one these Top-5 contenders.

At John Force Racing we are all hoping Robert Hight, crew chief Jimmy Prock and the entire Auto Club of Southern California funny car team can pull off a shocker and win the championship.  Robert and team have come in second place the past two years, and they’d certainly love to campaign a big “NO. 1” on the sides of their racecar for the 2009 season.  As you can imagine every crew member is poised to do his very best this weekend, in preparing the Auto Club of Southern California Funny Car for a championship weekend.  Robert has said several times in interviews, “we can’t worry about the other guys; all we can do is focus on what we do, and do the best we can!”

We’d like to thank all our fans for their support during the 2008 season and the thousands of emails we’ve received recently, encouraging Robert and team to win a championship.  Our fans are the best in all of motorsports and we sincerely thank you for being with us at the races, online, via emails and in spirit!
